Alongside international swimwear brands, Grayson Boyd showcased its debut men’s swim and resort wear collection at Miami Swim Week 2017 with a headline show. In South Beach, Miami, a long way from home, Aussie lads Sam Gray and Michael Boyd launched their swimwear brand after teaming up with ArtHeartsFashion and Funksion. 

Grayson Boyd is an Australian inspired, colour-charged, Summer time loving swim and resort wear brand.

All prints are unique to Grayson Boyd and come from paintings, drawings, doodles, photography and graphic illustration all created in-house. No colour is off limits thanks to the cheeky Rainbow Lorikeet muses that fly in for breakfast at the house of Grayson Boyd, which is located in Sydney above Hutchinson Place; the birth place and name of the first collection.

The styles reference 70’s beach culture from swim to Hawaiian shirts with special tailoring. Beginning as just swim, the vision expanded to resort wear and includes, lounging pieces, linen styles and beautifully crafted leather mandals (sandals for men).

In his early 20s Michael Boyd would create “Boydies,” his version of board shorts, for his mates in Sydney. He has worked as a model, dancer in films and TV, choreographer and creative director. All of which has led him to establish his creative and entertainment agency: Mr Boyd. His talents led him to direction, and a longing to not only create movement, light, and sound, but also his own brand.

Sam Gray’s personal connection to the label comes naturally after being a top ranking swimmer in Australia. Growing up in Queensland, weekends were spent sun-soaked, chasing waves along the coast line. Sam is also a lawyer and the pair bring a balanced scale of synergistic skill sets to the brand.
